Brock Peters started to cry while shooting the testifying scene, without rehearsing it this way, and Gregory Peck said that he had to look past him, instead of looking him in the eye, without choking up himself.

So I wrote this post on how Caucasians complain about aboriginal privilege and how sickening it is for them to complain because of what we have done to their people. And this bitch who has admitted previously that she is a racist is all condescending me. I grew up in mount magnet, an aboriginal town, I’ve spent months in broome, I know how aboriginals live and it’s heartbreaking. Some have hardly enough to eat, or what they do eat is fast food because it is cheap, their education is poor and so are their living conditions (however this may be subjective based on my schema as from what some have told me they prefer to live off the land, even today). But seriously this bitch

I can’t stand those kind of people. “Aboriginal privilege” might be the most laughable phrase. Yeah, they’re soooo privileged when caucasians don’t sit next to them on the bus, or laugh at old Aboriginals in wheelchairs, or verbally assault them - or jail them prejudiciously. And then people who are like, “they’re taking away our taxes and all they do is spend it on alcohol and drugs”, well, maybe that should be less of a criticism on how they unfortunately have to live and more of a criticism on the government STILL not providing proper education and healthcare? Ugh there’s a whole essay I could write there on how they are still not being given a good chance. My dad teaches Aboriginal kids in Karratha and the conditions are horrific. How are they expected to help their own lives when nobody gives them a head start? They aren’t given any opportunity to get better where the majority of bigoted Australians are concerned. Maybe complain about racist white bogans getting money instead, because at least they do in fact have privilege compared to the Indigenous Australians, who can’t even get respect. You rock Carolyn.

Kate you don’t even understand my frustration!! We owe so much to these people! We have destroyed a race, a culture, you can see the language disappearing infront of our eyes and these people are complaining because they are “1/52nd” aboriginal and receiving benefits?!? I’m happy to give some of my tax fund to them! Even if they are distantly aboriginal because in the society we have constructed they can say that with pride, it is almost a hindrance to them! They deserve the benefits! So angry right now! People need to open their eyes!

I have so much ammunition for this argument, holy shit. Australia is so gross with its treatment of its own Indigenous people. Ughhhhhhhhhhhh.
